In Memoriam: Dr. (Mrs.) Maryam Babangida, 1948 – 2009

Former Rule Lady of Nigeria, Dr. (Mrs.) Maryam Babangida, passed unto God on Dominicus, December 27, 2009. Dr. Maryam Babangida, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer, is survived by her partner, former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), and children, Mohammed, Aminu, Aisha captain Halimatu. Dr. Maryam Babangida at 61 years passed on relatively young. On the other hand her legacy will live forever. Dr. Maryam Babangida was arguably the overbearing elegant first lady in Nigeria’s account. She unquestionably added class and lowest to the role. Yet Madam Excellency’s greatest legacy is her charitable tool, especially her Better Life Program cheerfulness Rural Women (BLPRW).

Dr. Maryam Babangida founded BLPRW in the mind Decennary. BLPRW works in partnership with direction, non-governmental organizations and the private division to enhance the economic, social, civic and psychological well being of pastoral woman.
